The Lagoon is a swampy, hypersaline and entirely enclosed lagoon in the middle of Hopper Island. It has no outlets into the sea and therefore has high levels of salt in its water. The narrow strip of land surrounding the lagoon is covered by marsh vegetation.
To protect the natural environment, motorized vehicles are not permitted on The Lagoon.
